De Taka is het 3-latten wavezeil van Ezzy Sails! Het 3-latten concept blinkt uit in z'n super lichte handling en het on/off gevoel tijdens het golfrijden.
De Taka planeert zeer snel en is overpowered ook lang door te varen. De leach blijft in vorm en klappert niet. Wij raden aan om een Taka ca. 0,3m2 kleiner te varen dan dat je met een 4 of 5-latter zou doen! Snel planeren en een speels vaargevoel zijn de kenmerken van dit zeil!
In de Taka zijn de duurtse en lichtste doeksoorten verwerkt, zoals Technora, Spectra x-ply en Tri-lite. Hiernaast heeft de Taka het gecalibreerde downhaul systeem, de juiste trim vinden is nog nooit zo makkelijk geweest.

The Taka is our hard-core wavesail. Every few years, the sail’sevolution makes a leap forward. Thisyear we were able to reduce theweight so much that the new 4.7weighs as little as the old 4.1 Taka.And we changed the vinyl window toa low-stretch, dyneema enforced filmthat better transfers gusts of windinto board speed and also makes theTaka more stable in high winds.
Like in previous models, the newTaka has 3 full battens and a 3/4batten that allows the sail to luff,which means that it de-powers whensheeted out or rotated into the wind,making the sail go completely neutralin maneuvers.

In 1983 David Ezzy made his first windsurfing sail under the Ezzy Sail black and white eagle logo. He started his custom sail business on Maui in an old shed that has since become a sleek design loft. Back then, custom sails were the means to success for every serious sailor and Ezzy Sails led the sailing revolution. Ezzy made sails that were renowned for their “Hookipa” traits: strength and power.
Now the Ezzy factory is housed in a 20,000 square foot, brand-new building in Srilanka owned by David Ezzy and the factory staff. It is a safe, non-toxic work environment with state-of-the-art computer cutting machines, employee amenities such as a staffed kitchen, transportation, uniforms and a music sound system. The distribution reach of Ezzy Sails has expanded to cover most countries worldwide.
